"AR.EMBnet Live CD" is a customized distribution
of Knoppix .
In order to start the CD, first adjust the boot list in the BIOS Setup
of your computer to boot from CD. Put the CD in , restart the computer
and you will have a "Bioinformatics Server" (using wEMBOSS). It is ideal for
demonstrations, workshops, etc.
AR.EMBnet Live CD v0.1 requires:
- Intel-compatible CPU (i486 or later),
- 20 MB of RAM for text mode, at least 82 MB for
graphics mode,
- bootable CD-ROM drive, or a boot floppy and
standard CD-ROM (IDE/ATAPI or SCSI),
- standard SVGA-compatible graphics card,
- serial or PS/2 standard mouse or
IMPS/2-compatible USB-mouse.
